Saat Mutiara
Watch repair workshop

Craft, patience, and a quiet workshop in Shah Alam

Saat Mutiara began with a simple idea — that a watch deserves the same care it once received. We are here to carry that idea forward, one piece at a time.

A workshop shaped by respect for time

Saat Mutiara opened its doors in Seksyen 14, Shah Alam, with a focus that has not shifted since the beginning — watchcare that treats each piece with the attention it warrants. The name itself carries the idea of a pearl: something small, formed slowly, and worth holding gently.

We started because we noticed a gap. Most repair services work quickly, priced to move. We wanted something different — a place where a customer could sit with us, learn what their watch needs, and decide how to proceed without pressure. That approach has not changed.

Today, Saat Mutiara handles quartz and mechanical watches from across Selangor — battery and seal work, complete mechanical services, and considered case refinishing. Every job is communicated clearly before it begins and shared honestly when it is done.

Our Mission

To give every watch a thoughtful assessment and a path forward — one chosen by the owner, not decided for them. We keep the conversation open, the findings clear, and the work careful.

Our Values

  • Patience over speed
  • Honesty before any work begins
  • Preservation over transformation
  • The client's comfort as the pace-setter

Standards we hold ourselves to

These are not aspirations — they are the baseline for every job that passes through our workshop.

Pre-work assessment

Before any work begins, we inspect the piece and share our findings. Nothing is started without your understanding and agreement.

Pressure integrity checks

Water-resistant models are pressure-tested after any battery or seal work. We confirm the case is still doing its job before the watch leaves.

Regulated to rate

Mechanical movements are regulated after service and their rate checked across positions before they are returned to you.

Privacy and handling

Your watch and your personal information are handled with care. No details are shared with third parties outside of what is needed to complete the service.

Period-appropriate parts

Where replacements are needed, we source parts that suit the watch's era and character — we do not substitute for convenience.

Clear written notes

Every service comes with a written note of what was done — a simple, clear record you can keep alongside the watch.

Watch repair as a considered practice

A watch that has stopped is not always a watch that is finished. In most cases, a quartz movement simply needs a fresh battery and a check of its seals to be back in daily use. Mechanical movements, which run on springs and gears rather than electronics, need periodic cleaning and lubrication — typically every five to eight years for a well-kept piece.

At Saat Mutiara, we approach each service as a conversation between the watch's current condition and your intentions for it. Some pieces are worn every day and need practical, functional care. Others are rarely worn but carry sentimental weight — they need an equally attentive but perhaps more conservative approach.

Shah Alam and the wider Klang Valley have a growing community of people who take their watches seriously — not necessarily collectors, but individuals who appreciate that a watch is more than a time-keeping device. We are here to support that care with honest, craft-oriented service.

Our workshop is a modest one, and we prefer it that way. Smaller scope means closer attention. We do not take on volume we cannot manage well, and we do not move faster than the work allows.

Your watch, your pace

Send us a message and tell us about the piece. We will respond thoughtfully and let you know what we think the best path forward might be.
